Florida Air Force ROTC cadets demonstrate 'service before self'

Sixteen cadets from the University of South Florida’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 158 recently demonstrated the “service before self” core value of the Air Force by volunteering at Metropolitan Ministries, a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides outreach and prevention services for the homeless in the greater Tampa Bay area. The cadets worked in various areas throughout the organization to include the kitchen, park, parlor and relaxation room and accumulated a combined total of 48 community service hours. Washington cadets provide assistance during CAP competition

Summer Leadership Program cadets visit MacDill

More than 103 Air Force JROTC cadets from Blake, Durant, Middleton, Sickles, Bloomingdale, Jefferson and Plant High Schools in Fla., visited MacDill Air Force Base July 16 to 19 as part of the AFJROTC Summer Leadership Program. Air Force ROTC instructors graduate from NCOA

Five Air Force ROTC technical sergeants graduated from the Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Maxwell's Gunter Annex June 30. The graduates represented Air Force ROTC detachments from across the nation. Graduating were: Tech. Sgt. Ian Davis from detachment 550, Troy, N.Y., Tech. Sgt. Matthew Guffey from detachment 592, Charlotte, N.C., Tech. Sgt. Dalonda Richardson from detachment 012, Birmingham, Ala., Tech. Sgt. Anna Tew from the Holm Center, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., Tech.
